Jim Tait
Jim Tait (November 6, 1935 – May 20, 2011) was an American football player, coach, and college athletics administrator. He was the 28th head college football coach for the University of Richmond Spiders located in Richmond, Virginia and he held that position for six seasons, from 1974 until 1979. His career coaching record at Richmond was 21 wins, 44 losses, and 0 ties. This ranks him eighth at Richmond in total wins and 24th at Richmond in winning percentage.〔(Richmond Coaching Records )〕 In 1975, Richmond won the Southern Conference championship.〔 Tait was fired after the 1979 season, and then hired by Virginia Tech as an assistant athletic director under Bill Dooley.〔(Tait Gets Job With Va.
